The Yodel Mobile team and clients attended the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards last night for their 10th Award Ceremony, hosted by the Mobile Marketing Magazine, who have been at the forefront in celebrating and recognising excellence in the industry over the past decade.

We are incredibly proud to announce that we took home 6 awards from the ceremony for effective mobile campaigns across our clients, mytaxi, BECCA and UKTV Play!

The Mobile Marketing Magazine commented: “On the agency front, the big winner on the night was Yodel Mobile, picking up five Winners awards as well as a Highly Commended. Its App Growth Campaign for mytaxi took the Grand Prix Award, as well as the Awards for Mobile Marketing Campaign of the Decade; Most Effective Travel & Tourism Campaign; and Most Effective App Install Campaign. Yodel also picked up a Winner’s trophy in the Charity Campaign category for its work with breast cancer charity, BECCA.”

Here is a snapshot of our campaigns below…

Our Mobile Campaigns:

mytaxi

mytaxi sought to populate the app with high-intent users, encourage first time user booking, and increase retention and average re-booking per user as it continued to expand its reach across cities in the UK. Yodel Mobile’s mobile campaign, focused on App Growth, took the Grand Prix Award, as well as the Awards for Mobile Marketing Campaign of the Decade; Most Effective Travel & Tourism Campaign; and Most Effective App Install Campaign.

The judges’ commented on our work with mytaxi, stating “Just brilliant. If you’re launching an app, take this campaign and do it like this.”

Breast Cancer Care App: BECCA

Yodel Mobile worked with Breast Cancer Care’s BECCA app as part of their charity app marketing initiative, offering 12 months of free app marketing consultancy. Their work aided in the increased engagement of the app, which offers tips and guides to help people recovering after breast cancer treatment to move forward after breast cancer. Our mobile campaign received the Charity Campaign award.

UKTV Play

Yodel Mobile worked with UKTV Play to grow its visibility and increase its user base of high-intent and engaged users for their video-on-demand streaming service which provides instant access to shows from UKTV channels. Our mobile campaign defined optimisations that increased high-quality users of the app, achieving a High Commendation at the awards.

Mick Rigby, CEO of Yodel Mobile, expressed: “These nights are very rare, and it is an honour to have our work so publicly acknowledged across three different clients and 6 award categories. Over the last few years we have been focused on developing our own processes and success programmes throughout the whole end to end app marketing ecosystem, in order to provide an effective, successful and holistic solution for any app business at any stage of their life cycle. This resulting achievement is incredible, and it is a testament to all the hard work and inspiration our team and clients bring to their day-to-day.”

We couldn’t be more proud of the Yodel Mobile app growth team and our clients for continuing to produce innovative strategies for such brilliant apps. As we begin to wrap up 2019, we want to say a huge thank you to those who have helped us have our best year yet and we are thrilled to know that our app growth strategies continue to drive success for app businesses around the world.
