New Business Executive

In this New Business Executive role, you will be responsible for proactively sourcing, developing and supporting the closing of new business opportunities in the UK and globally.  You will need to be self-motivated, knowledgeable and assured, as you will be tasked with “selling” Yodel Mobile’s ‘Fit to Market’ and App Launch programmes.  

The New Business Executive will have a number of key roles:

  1. Design, support and manage the overall new business outbound strategy
  2. New business outreach: spot opportunities, generate leads and convert “outreach” endeavours into new business campaigns and new clients through traditional research, phone calls, and email activity
  3. Build the new business pipeline

The New Business Exec will be part of the Yodel Mobile marketing team: a Marketing Manager and the CEO.

In this role, you responsibilities will include:

  • Generating and sourcing new leads and business sales
  • Taking ownership of every aspect of the sales life-cycle in order to consistently exceed targets
  • Undertaking research on new categories and clients
  • Produce (in conjunction with our marketing manager) new business specific contact including email outreach, sales brochures and presentations
  • Attending client meetings
  • Own all meeting follow-up process and conversions
  • Demonstrating an ability convert learnings and develop the best approach for new business outreach and attaining opportunities for the business

What we are looking for?

  • Ideally 1 – 2 year’s experience in a sales or business development role, although we would consider exceptional candidates with limited experience
  • Experience with delivering and managing process
  • Confident with Excel and PowerPoint – manipulating data and writing succinct and impressive presentations
  • Not essential, but experience with sales pipline softwear such as Salesforce would be useful
  • Involvement in pitching process for new business – from industry research, to producing new business proposals right through to delivering confident new business pitches
  • A genuine passion to build a career within a fast-paced and highly rewarding marketing environment
  • Ideally you will have some relevant experience working within a sales environment, including a proven track record in client relationship management and B2B new business sale
  • A highly enthusiastic and ambitious demeanour
  • Someone who loves working in a target-driven environment
  • Have a real interest in the fast-growing world of mobile
