App Store Optimisation (ASO) Executive

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and data centric ASO Executive who has a passion for digital and apps to join the Yodel Mobile team and play a key role in achieving our next level of growth.

The Role:

We are growing our ASO team, having achieved momentous recognition in the industry for our progressive approach to app growth. We were named The Drum’s Mobile Agency of 2019, the App Growth Summit’s App Growth Team of the Year 2020 & 2022 and ASO Company of the Year in 2021.

Key responsibilities:

In this ASO Executive role, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify new ASO opportunities across many different types of apps
  • Optimise app titles, descriptions, screenshots and other metadata to improve search rankings and user conversion
  • Attend client meetings, present findings, and recommendations, and provide regular updates on project progress and performance
  • Prepare reports with analysis for clients that highlight the impact of ASO efforts on their app’s performance, utilising ASO tools to deliver data-driven insights
  • Organise and prioritise monthly, weekly, and daily deliverables
  • Contribute to and develop case studies on app marketing best practice and ASO trends

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary. Experience in writing for various media formats preferred (e.g., blog posts, long-form articles, social media or video scripts)

Strong desire to learn, open-minded and able to take feedback and constructive criticism in stride, using it to refine your work and grow as a professional

A collaborative and curious self-starter with a demonstrated ability to keep projects moving and deliver great results on time without the need for too much oversight

Thrives in fast-paced environments and can adapt quickly to shifting priorities

Creative and empathetic thinker; you care deeply about our client’s app users and have a customer-first approach. Experience in client management or customer service is preferred

Confident manipulating data sets in Excel and working with PowerPoint. A flare for visual storytelling and data analysis. Experience using SQL is a bonus.

Experience in a marketing or agency environment is desirable

Familiarity with mobile developments, apps, design, and user experience principles in a plus
