It’s the time of year when consumers are firming up their travel plans for the year ahead – whether they’re snapping up some winter sun to escape the dreary UK weather or sorting out their summer holiday plans before the best places get booked up.
We’ve been looking into how mobile is playing a part in the travel marketplace – we’ve found smartphones and tablets are making real inroads into how people shop for flights and holidays. Of the top 50 travel companies, the percentage boasting a mobile-optimised site has jumped from 48% to 60% since October 2013.
