On the 24th May, the mobile world donned their black ties and brushed off their sparkly slippers to enjoy a night at The Drum MOMA Awards 2015, held in the Marriot Hotel in Grosvenor Square. This year’s MOMA Awards saw the level and calibre of mobile advertising rise yet again, across a range of categories displaying the best that mobile has to offer.
Mobile marketing agency, Yodel Mobile had been nominated in the Best use of Video/Rich Media category and Account Manager, Kate Yates, and Business Development Director, Jack Mazoor, (pictured above practising their surprised faces) went along to the event.
The nomination was for creative produced for The World in 2015 mobile campaign, an annual sub-publication of The Economist. The rich media unit consisted of a 3D spinning globe which, when swiped, revealed predictions for the coming year across the world. A promotional video for The World in 2015 also ran, both feeding into a multi layered campaign for the publication.
The night began with a champagne reception, followed by a three course meal before the results were announced. It was a close call with fierce competition and much cutting edge, innovative creative showcased in that category. Other entries included Google, Sony Mobile and Channel 4, by no means small players! In the end it proved so competitive that, after narrowly missing the winning spot to Google, Yodel Mobile was awarded with a commendation.

We hope you’ll raise a glass to this great achievement with us. It is an exciting time for Yodel Mobile and an even more exciting time for mobile creative.
